BaRay has issued a day-of-show update for the September 26–27 Windward Hawaiian weekend: judging will begin at 9:00 AM both days (no tents may remain set up overnight), gates open for general admission at 7:00 AM, and Saturday’s Hound Group show will begin 30 minutes after Best in Show is awarded from the all-breed show. BaRay superintended; entries closed at noon Pacific on Wednesday, September 9. Saturday drew 208 dogs and Sunday 206 — a small, friendly entry on the windward side of Oahu.

Judges to watch

Mrs. Darle M. Heck awards Saturday's Best in Show; Mrs. Olga Gagne takes Sunday's. Saturday's groups run through Mrs. Heck (Hound), Mrs. Gagne (Sporting, Toy, Non-Sporting, Herding), and Mrs. Pierrette McLean (Working, Terrier, plus NOHS Best in Show). Sunday's groups go to Mrs. Heck (Working, Herding), Mrs. McLean (Sporting, Non-Sporting), and Mrs. Gagne (Hound, Terrier, Toy). The full panel is in the judging program below.

Ring times & show hours

Show hours run 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Hawaii time. Day-of-show update from BaRay (September 25, 2026): judging begins at 9:00 AM both days due to weather conditions, and Saturday’s Hound Group show starts 30 minutes after Best in Show. Regular groups start no earlier than 1:30 PM in Rings 1 and 2.
